AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) was launched on 25 June 2015. It aims to provide basic civic amenities such as water supply, sewerage, urban transport and green spaces to improve the quality of life, especially for the poor and disadvantaged, in selected cities and towns.
