Overview

Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) is an India-led global mass movement formally launched in October 2022 to encourage mindful and deliberate use of resources instead of mindless consumption. The concept was introduced by India at the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow in 2021. Mission LiFE promotes the idea of “Pro Planet People” (P3), connecting individual behaviour with collective environmental action. It encourages simple actions in daily life — such as saving energy and water, reducing single-use plastic, sustainable food systems and reducing waste — to lower each person’s carbon footprint and combat climate change.
