Overview

Nai Roshni is a leadership development scheme for women belonging to minority communities, launched by the Ministry of Minority Affairs in 2012-13. The scheme aims to empower and instil confidence among minority women by providing knowledge, tools and techniques for interacting with government systems, banks and other institutions at all levels. Training is imparted through NGOs and other organisations and covers areas such as leadership of women, educational empowerment, health and hygiene, financial literacy, legal rights of women, digital literacy and life skills. The goal is to enable women to move out confidently and access their rights and entitlements.
