RSSB has published an amended advertisement for Basic and Senior Computer Instructor Combined Direct Recruitment 2026, listed on its website on 28 October 2026. The amendment clarifies the gender-wise classification of SC/ST backlog posts for Basic Computer Instructor in the scheduled area under the Secondary Education Department. The notice says the remaining advertisement conditions stay unchanged.

What Has Changed?

The earlier advertisement showed SC and ST backlog posts in the scheduled area, but their male/female classification had not been provided. The current amendment republishes that classification. Candidates should read the district-wise table together with the original advertisement and other applicable notices.

This document does not announce a new application window, a new examination date or a general revision of educational eligibility. Its stated change concerns the classification of the specified backlog vacancies.

Recruitment Figures Cited in the Amendment

Post Total Non-scheduled area Scheduled area
Senior Computer Instructor 322 288 34
Basic Computer Instructor 3,629 2,936 693

These are the recruitment figures cited from the advertisement issued on 22 May 2026. The amendment's detailed table below relates specifically to Basic Computer Instructor scheduled-area backlog posts under the Secondary Education Department. It should not be treated as a complete fresh distribution of every vacancy in the combined recruitment.

Scheduled-Area Backlog Posts: District Totals

District SC backlog ST backlog
Banswara 10 96
Dungarpur 4 76
Pali 0 5
Pratapgarh 7 76
Rajsamand 0 2
Udaipur 6 77
Chittorgarh 0 0
Sirohi 1 21
Salumbar 2 34
Total 30 387

How to Read the Classification

The official table further divides each district's backlog total into Gen., Gen. female, widow and divorcee columns. Here, those labels sit within the separate SC and ST backlog groups; the “Gen.” sub-column should not be read as a new unreserved-category vacancy total.

Across the districts, the SC backlog columns total 20, 8, 2 and 0 respectively. The ST backlog columns total 261, 87, 33 and 6. Refer to the original table for the exact district and sub-category that applies to you. Do not add these sub-column numbers to their parent totals, as that would count the same posts twice.

What Candidates Should Do Next

  • Download and retain the amended advertisement with the original recruitment notification.
  • Confirm whether your application concerns Basic or Senior Computer Instructor and the relevant area and department.
  • Read the category and district classification directly from the official table.
  • Check subsequent RSSB notices for examination, application or other recruitment instructions.

The amendment expressly keeps the remaining conditions unchanged. It does not by itself require every candidate to submit a new application. Follow a separate official direction if RSSB later asks for any candidate action.
