REET Eligibility Criteria

Level 1 (Classes 1 to 5)

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), OR
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), OR
  • Graduation with D.El.Ed as per NCTE norms.

Level 2 (Classes 6 to 8)

  • Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), OR
  • Equivalent qualification as per NCTE guidelines.

Relaxation in minimum marks is provided for reserved category candidates as per Rajasthan government rules.

REET Exam Pattern

The REET eligibility test consists of 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks, with a total duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. A key advantage of REET is that there is no negative marking in the eligibility test.
