Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) was launched nationwide in 2021 to create a seamless online platform that connects digital health solutions of hospitals across the country. Its backbone is the ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) number — a unique 14-digit health ID through which citizens can store and share their health records digitally with consent, enabling efficient, paperless and portable healthcare.
