PM-USHA (Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) is the revamped version of the earlier RUSA (Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan). It is a centrally sponsored scheme that provides funding support to eligible state higher education institutions to improve access, equity and quality. The scheme is closely aligned with the goals of the National Education Policy 2020, including improving the Gross Enrolment Ratio and promoting multidisciplinary, holistic education.
