Skill India Mission
Empowering youth with industry-relevant skills.
The Skill India Mission was launched on 15 July 2015 (observed as World Youth Skills Day). It is an umbrella initiative aimed at training a large number of Indian youth in industry-relevant skills to enhance their employability. Its flagship scheme is the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).
