Latest Update on Syllabus & Exam Pattern

According to the latest update, RSSB has published the complete syllabus and exam pattern for the CET Graduate Level 2026 on its official website. Two important changes have been introduced this time: negative marking has now been applied in the CET Graduate Level exam, and the validity of the CET certificate has been extended from 1 year to 3 years. Candidates should prepare based on this syllabus and pattern to score well in the examination.

CET Graduate Level Exam Pattern 2026

The Rajasthan CET Graduate Level exam will be conducted in offline (OMR-based) mode with objective multiple-choice questions. As per the new RSSB OMR rule, candidates will now be given five options (A, B, C, D and E) instead of four - the fifth option (E) must be filled if a candidate wishes to leave a question unanswered. Any candidate who leaves more than 10% of the questions blank will be declared disqualified. The exam will have 150 questions carrying 300 marks and will last for 3 hours, with a negative marking of one-third (1/3) for each wrong answer.

1. History of India & Rajasthan (with special emphasis on the Indian National Movement)

  • Important events of Indian history; social and religious reform movements of the 19th and 20th centuries.
  • The Indian freedom struggle - its various phases and the contribution of leaders from different regions of the country.
  • Rajasthan's contribution to the Revolt of 1857, tribal and peasant movements in Rajasthan, political awakening and the Prajamandal movement.
  • Post-independence nation building - national integration and reorganisation of states, institution building in the Nehru era, development of science and technology.

2. History, Art, Culture, Literature, Tradition & Heritage of Rajasthan

  • Ancient civilizations - Kalibanga, Ahar, Ganeshwar, Balathal and Bairath.
  • Major historical events, prominent dynasties, their administrative and revenue systems, and socio-cultural dimensions.
  • Key features of architecture - forts, monuments, arts, paintings and handicrafts.
  • Important works of Rajasthani literature and regional dialects.
  • Fairs, festivals, folk music and folk dances.
  • Rajasthani culture, tradition and heritage; religious movements, saints and folk deities; important historical sites; prominent personalities; and the integration of Rajasthan.

4. Geography of Rajasthan

  • Geological structure and physiographic regions; climatic conditions, monsoon system and climatic regions.

  • Major irrigation and river valley projects, wasteland and drought area development projects, Indira Gandhi Canal project.

9. Logical Reasoning, Mental Ability & Basic Numerical Efficiency

  • Making series/analogy, figure matrix questions, classification, alphabet test, passage and conclusions, blood relations, coding-decoding, direction sense test.
  • Sitting arrangement, input-output, number ranking and time sequence, making judgments, logical arrangement of words, inserting the missing character/number.
