What Is the CET Graduate Level Exam?

CET is a common eligibility or screening test for recruitments identified by RSSB. Qualifying the CET does not by itself guarantee a government job. Candidates may need to apply separately for each post, meet that post’s educational and other conditions, and complete its further selection process.

The posts covered, score validity, minimum qualifying requirements and any exemptions are governed by Advertisement No. 09/2026 and the notification for the individual recruitment. Read those documents carefully because conditions can differ by post.

Eligibility: What Candidates Should Check

This is a graduate-level test and generally requires a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Before relying on eligibility, check the official advertisement for the accepted degree, final-year rules, qualification cut-off date, age limit, category-based relaxation and any post-specific requirements. CET eligibility does not replace the additional qualifications required for a particular vacancy.

Exam Pattern and OMR Instructions

The notified scheme describes an offline objective paper with 150 questions, 300 marks and three hours. Questions carry equal marks, with one-third of the marks for a question deducted for a wrong answer. The OMR sheet provides a fifth option, E, for a question the candidate chooses not to answer. Follow the current instructions for marking E and for questions left blank; leaving more than 10% of answers without a marked option may lead to disqualification under the stated rules. Recheck the latest instructions before entering the exam hall.

OMR tip: Practise filling the correct bubble neatly. Review every unanswered question before submitting and follow the exact fifth-option rule printed in the official instructions.

RSSB CET Graduate Level Syllabus: Main Areas

  • Rajasthan General Knowledge: history, art and culture, heritage, geography, polity, economy and current affairs.
  • India General Knowledge: history, Constitution, governance, geography, economy, science and environment.
  • Reasoning and Mathematics: logical reasoning, mental ability and basic quantitative aptitude.
  • Language and Computer: General Hindi, General English and basic computer knowledge.

For the complete topic-wise list, see the RSSB CET Graduate Level syllabus and exam-pattern guide. Use the current notification as the final reference if any topic list differs.

How to Prepare for the RSSB CET

  1. Break the syllabus into weekly targets. Track each topic as pending, completed or due for revision.
  2. Study Rajasthan GK consistently. Rotate history, culture, geography, polity and current affairs, and keep concise notes for facts that are easy to confuse.
  3. Practise with a timer. Start with topic-wise questions, then attempt full three-hour mock tests and review every error and guess.
  4. Practise the OMR process. Use mock sheets to build accuracy and apply the official instructions for option E and unanswered questions.
  5. Schedule revision. Revisit notes and previously missed questions every week instead of only adding new topics.
  6. Prepare separately for the next recruitment stage. Once a post-specific vacancy is announced, check its own syllabus, eligibility and selection stages.

What to Do Next
