The HTET (Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test) is a state-level qualifying examination for candidates aspiring to become teachers in government and recognised schools of Haryana. HTET Eligibility Criteria
Level 1 - PRT (Classes 1 to 5)
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2-year D.El.Ed / JBT, OR
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed as per NCTE norms.
Level 2 - TGT (Classes 6 to 8)
- Graduation and 2-year D.El.Ed, OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed.
Level 3 - PGT (Classes 9 to 12)
- Master's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks and B.Ed.
Reserved category candidates get relaxation in minimum marks as per Haryana government rules.
HTET Exam Pattern
Each HTET level has 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks with a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. There is no negative marking, and each correct answer carries 1 mark.
