UTET Eligibility Criteria

Paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5)

  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2-year D.El.Ed / BTC, OR
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed as per NCTE norms.

Paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8)

  • Graduation and 2-year D.El.Ed, OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed, OR
  • Equivalent qualification as per NCTE guidelines.

Reserved category candidates get relaxation in minimum marks as per Uttarakhand government rules.

UTET Exam Pattern

Each UTET paper has 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks with a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. There is no negative marking, and each correct answer carries 1 mark.
