Educational Qualification

Candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. Candidates awaiting final year/semester results are not eligible unless they can provide proof of graduation at the time of document verification.

🎯 Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the Bihar Police SI post will be based on the following stages:

  1. Preliminary Written Examination
  2. Mains Written Examination
  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)
  4. Document Verification
  5. Medical Examination

📝 Exam Pattern

The recruitment exam is conducted in two stages – Preliminary and Mains. The Preliminary exam is qualifying in nature, while the Mains exam is used to prepare the final merit list.

💰 Pay Scale

The selected candidates for the post of Bihar Police Sub Inspector (SI) will be placed in Pay Level-6 (Pay Matrix) as per the 7th Pay Commission.

Pay Scale: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 (Level-6) + Grade Pay + DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Bihar Government rules.
