MoSPI-GRAAM Policy Research Fellowship Launched
The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) signed a Statement of Intent with the Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement (GRAAM) on 25 June 2026 in New Delhi to launch a fellowship initiative. The partnership is linked to the Embark India Development Fellowship and involves two fellows for policy research and governance work.
The Partnership
The Statement of Intent was signed by Dr. Basavaraju R. Shreshta, Executive Director of GRAAM, and Prasoon Verma, Director of the Training Unit in MoSPI's Capacity Development Division. P. R. Meshram, Director General (Data Governance), MoSPI, was present at the ceremony.
Embark India Development Fellowship
The Embark India Development Fellowship is an 18-month programme featuring six-month immersive institutional placements, hands-on training and mentorship by national experts. It covers policy research, governance innovation, capacity-building, data governance and public administration. Selected fellows receive a stipend of up to Rs 65,000 per month.
