On 5 July 2026, the OPEC+ alliance agreed to raise its combined crude oil production ceiling by 188,000 barrels per day (bpd) for the month of August. The decision was taken by seven core members of the alliance during an online ministerial meeting and represents the fifth consecutive monthly increase in output.
